Adrienne Bennett, President & CEO, is a pioneer in America's plumbing and construction industries. She is America's firsShe remains Michigan's first and only female licensed Master Plumber and Plumbing Contractor. Adrienne served the City of Detroit as a Plumbing Inspector and Code Enforcement Officer. Adrienne is a licensed union plumber from Plumbers Local 98 and has held a litany of positions throughout her prolific career including: Chief Project Manager, Chief Space Analyst, Master Plumber, Plumbing Estimator, and Drain Layer Contractor.
Adrienne's specialties include: medical gas systems, plumbing code compliance, water conservation, and plumbing and piping systems for all facility types. She is an active member of the American Society of Plumbing Engineers (ASPE), American Society of Sanitary Engineering (ASSE), National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), Newman Consulting Group, the African-American Business Initiative of Detroit (AABI), American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), Detroit City Council Skilled Trades Task Force, and is a licensed instructor for the State of Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs (LARA).
Ibn-Hashim Bakari, Vice President, holds a Masters of Public Administration (MPA) and Bachelor of Science in Urban Planning from the University of Rhode Island. He has fifteen years of experience in construction and project management for highways, bridges, and detention facilities along with five years of experience in highway and road inspection and interstate traffic studies. Ibn leads business development for Benkari and manages all operations on the East Coast. Ibn is the founder of Lights & Sirens International, a non-profit that hosts charity sporting events to support international child education and healthcare initiatives.
Allen Gibbs, Mechanical Director, holds Mechanical Contractor, Pipefitter, and Refrigeration Operator licenses along with multiple heating and cooling certificates. Allen has twenty years of experience installing and repairing HVAC systems and equipment in healthcare, industrial, and commercial facilities. He has significant experience creating and implementing preventative and remedial maintenance plans for HVAC systems and leading maintenance and repair crews. Allen's specialties include: maintenance and installation of chillers, boilers, air handling units, and air dryers. Allen is OSHA-30 Hour Certified.
A.K. Bennett, Associate Project Manager, earned a Master of Construction Engineering Management and Graduate Certificate in Integrated Project Delivery from Lawrence Technological University along with a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and Bachelor of Science in Legal Studies from Nova Southeastern University. He has four years of experience in project management, business development, and facilities maintenance management. A.K.'s roles include project management, scheduling, leading Midwest business development, estimating assistance, and advising on project delivery. A.K. serves as Vice-Chair of the National Contract Management Association (NCMA) Great Lakes Civil Infrastructure Committee. A.K. is OSHA 30-Hour certified.
Alondre Barry, Superintendent, is a licensed, union plumbing journeyman from Plumbers Local 98. He has fifteen years of experience in the plumbing industry. Alondre has installed and maintained plumbing and piping systems for an array of project types ranging from home renovations to steel mills and nuclear power plants. Alondre conducts plumbing surveys and estimating for Benkari along with supervising and planning field operations. His specialties are: industrial and commercial plumbing systems and he is OSHA 30-Hour certified.
